Shawn Swearingen, Executive Director, Customized Logistics & Delivery Association
Shawn has a diverse background in government affairs, working as a legislative assistant and policy analyst in a leadership office of the Oregon House of Representatives, a legislative associate at Stateside Associates, and as the communications & state policy manager for the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association. Previously acting as the Director of Government Affairs for CLDA for five years, the Advocacy Fund saw: reserve growth to over $500,000; lobbying efforts in California, New Jersey, New York; led collation efforts supporting the Massachusetts Delivery Association’s case against the Commonwealth and numerous other Amicus Briefs and lobbying efforts in Washington, D.C. In the three plus years as Executive Director, membership opportunities have expanded with his support to the Board of Directors including new affinity partnerships, working with new Independent Contractor and Air Forwarder members, as well as expanding educational opportunities at the Final Mile Forum & Expo and Executive Leadership Summit. He studied Political Science and U.S. History at Oregon State University.
