David masters all aspects of Start-Ups development, investment, fast-paced innovations and partnerships. His background is particularly focussed in the automotive industry and critical systems engineering as well as digital and
business innovation.
David first came to the UK in 2003, to pursue his lifelong ambition of achieving a Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Coventry. It was there that he developed an interest in the automotive industry and specifically Product engineering, consequently moving on to further his studies. He achieved an MSc in Automotive Product Engineering at University of Cranfield in Bedfordshire.
His first career steps were taken at JLR, working initially in their Product Definition team (responsible for platform structures and PLM strategy,) before moving to the Hybrid and Electric team, where he held a wide range of technical and business roles, helping to define JLR’s hybrid and electric vehicle strategy and leading the verification and validation of new technologies.
He moved on to join Altran, where he developed a business unit specialised in embedded and critical systems, focused in the validation and verification of Software, ADAS, IVI and SOA architecture.
In December 2015, David decided to come back to the UK where he founded YMobility. Y-Mobility partners with CEOs, executives and solopreneurs to grow their products and company brands. After spending nearly a decade working in innovation teams, Automotive OEMs, Tier 1 companies and Start-ups, David knows what truly drives technology, product development, strategy and Investment. He places specific emphasis on bringing value by delivering a product or service that can change the quality of our lives directly to the consumer.
