Kerin Smith has been a Traffic Engineer with the City of Frisco, Texas for the last four years. In addition to development review for one of the fastest growing cities in the nation and addressing school and neighborhood-related concerns, she is responsible for managing existing transit services and implementing innovative mobility solutions. Kerin earned a BS in Civil Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Prior to her work for the City, Kerin spent 10 years in the consulting world, working for firms in Boston and Los Angeles. As a Project Manager she conducted hundreds of traffic safety studies, roadway operations analysis, traffic calming, and intersection and neighborhood street designs. She is a registered Professional Engineer and an active member of Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) and Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS). She is an avid reader and a hobbyist photographer, documenting the growth of her four young boys.
