What Is Included In The Conference Registration Fee?
Conference and Workshop:
The registration fee includes all sessions Thursday and Friday. It also covers breakfast, lunch and breaks Thursday and Friday. Access to discounted room rates at the conference hotel. All conference materials and promotional items, and access to discounted room rates at the conference hotel (Book early to lock-in discounted rates! Rooms will sell out.).
What Forms Of Payment Do You Accept For Registration?
Payment Methods Accepted:
SSSC-MID-ATLANTIC accepts Visa, MasterCard, and American Express, money orders, checks, wire transfers, and school purchase orders (POs) for payments.
School Purchase Orders:
PO must be signed approved and include information: Registrants’ names, registration type covered by the purchase order, a dollar amount for each item, and a total amount for the purchase order.
Payment or school purchase order must be received via email or postal mail within 30 days of completing your registration.

Do you offer group registration discount?
Group Registration Discount
Complimentary Registrations are available for groups of three paid attendees or more from the same organization are available.
- 1 for every 3 paid registrations
- 2 for every 5 paid registrations
- 3 for every 7 paid registrations
How To Redeem
All teams that want to redeem the group discount must have one representative register the team members at the same time.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for your specialized discount code for the complimentary registration(s) once you have submitted registration for the initial team.
I want to register as soon as possible to get the early registration discount, but I wont be able to secure funding from my district or school until after the end of the conference, can I still register?
Yes, you can register at the discounted rate online. When we receive payment from your school or district, we will refund the fees to your credit card.

I have been approved for funding to attend SSSC-MID-ATLANTIC but the purchase order will not be processed until after the end of the conference. If I pay the conference fees myself, will I be refunded after SSSC-MID-ATLANTIC receives payment from my school district?
Yes, SSSC-MID-ATLANTIC will refund any funds that were submitted by you once payment has been received from your school district. Refunds are processed according to the method of payment received by Nordtree. Credit card payments are credited back to the credit card that was used for payment.
I can no longer attend the Conference, but my colleague is available. What is the substitution policy?
Substitutions can be made at any time.
Should the original delegate be unable to attend, a substitute delegate is welcome at no extra charge; in this case, please contact Nordtree to update the participant registration details.
Last minute substitution, your colleague can bring a signed letter stating you wish to transfer your registration fee. An email of the substitution requests should be made to firstname.lastname@example.org
How do I submit a substitution request?
All substitution requests must be received in writing from the original registrant to email@example.com and must have the new registrant copied on the email.
I need to cancel my registration. What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellation requests received in writing at least thirty days (30 days) prior to the event will qualify for a full refund and less than 5%administrative fee.
Unfortunately, no refunds will be given for cancellations received less than twenty nine days (29 days) from the date of the first day of the conference.

What is the refund policy?
Refunds requests received in writing at least thirty days (30 days) prior to the event will qualify for a full refund and less than 5% administrative fee. Unfortunately, no refunds will be given for cancellations received less than 29 days from the date of the first day of the conference.
Can I register on-site?
Yes, on-site registration is available during posted registration hours beginning Wednesday, April 10 at the on-site registration desk, located on the floor on the area outside the general session Ballroom at Venue. SSSC-MID-ATLANTIC recommends that you register as soon as possible to get the early registration discount. Please keep checking on any updates on the ballroom name.
I have registered for the conference. Will I receive my conference materials in the mail?
No items will ship in hard copy via mail or postal service. After completing registration online or emailing a registration form, you will receive a confirmation email with a summary of your registration details, which we recommend you retain for your own records.
Delegates can receive their printed badge upon presenting a valid government-issued ID. If you do not receive an email, confirming your registration details two weeks prior to the conference, please contact Nordtree.
Will I receive confirmation of my registration?
Yes. After you register online, you will receive an automated email confirming your registration.
For offline, mailed or emailed registrations, you will receive an email confirming your registration.
Can my spouse/partner attend the conference with me?
Yes, conference attendees are encouraged to bring their spouses or partners.

Guest registration includes all hosted conference meals and networking breaks. Guests are not permitted to attend educational sessions (keynote, plenary sessions, breakout sessions, or workshops).
Guest Registration Fees:
- Full Spouse/Guest Registration (conference + Workshop), 2 days (includes all meals) ($300).
- Full Spouse/Guest Registration (conference only), 1 day (includes all meals) ($230).
- Thursday One Day Spouse/Guest Registration, Including all meals and breaks ($120)

A guest is defined as a spouse, significant other, family member or friend of a registered conference attendee.
School board members, school district staff, and education sector are not eligible to register as “guests”.
Is there a discounted hotel rate for SSSC-MID-ATLANTIC attendees?
SSSC-MID-ATLANTIC has secured a discounted room rate. Book early to lock-in this rate! Rooms will sell out.
All attendees are responsible for securing their own hotel room reservations and covering all hotel expenses.
How do I book a hotel for SSSC-MID-ATLANTIC?
Will transportation be provided between the hotel and the airport?
Attendees are responsible for their own ground transportation upon their arrival in Washington, DC.
What is the suggested attire at SSSC-MID-ATLANTIC?
SSSC-MID-ATLANTIC recommends business casual. You may want to bring a sweater or sport coat, as session rooms can sometimes get a bit chilly.
